COLUMBIANA, Ala. – Two Shelby County High School seniors were awarded Scholarships at the SCHS Senior Night ceremony. The students each received a $5,000 scholarship. Sarah Horton and Grant Walkup of Shelby County High School were awarded a $5,000 dollar scholarship from Billy Jones of Bryant Bank in Columbiana.
Sarah Horton was awarded the Paul W. Bryant Jr. Scholarship, she will be attending the University of Alabama and majoring in Civil Engineering and is hopeful in being a future member of the Million Dollar Marching Band in the fall of 2013.
Grant Walkup was awarded the Billy Jones Scholarship, he will be attending the University of Alabama in Birmingham and majoring in Psychology and minoring in Audio Engineering in the fall of 2013.
Both students are 2013 Shelby County High School Graduates.
