Girls on the Run receives $5,000 gift from Bryant Bank
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Bryant Bank is committed to supporting students and families in the local community, and Girls on the Run of North Alabama is pleased to receive their funding to bring this award winning after school program to local elementary and middle schools.
“We are rolling out our first season this fall and such generous donations go a long way in allowing us to reach more young girls in our North Alabama community,” says Community Outreach Coordinator Chawn Wade. “It is very exciting to have Bryant Bank as a Founding Sponsor.”
Girls on the Run of North Alabama will begin its first season in four area schools reaching areas from Florence to Hampton Cove. More sites for the afterschool program are being added for the Spring 2018 season.

About Girls on the Run of North Alabama
Girls on the Run of North Alabama is the local chapter of the national physical activity-based youth development program for 3rd-8th grade girls. Participants develop and improve competence, feel confidence in who they are, develop strength of character, respond to others and oneself with care, create positive connects with peers and adults and make a meaningful contribution to the community and society. Each session is led by trained volunteer coaches that guide and mentor the girls. The ten-week program concludes with all participants completing a celebratory 5k event which gives them a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Girls on the Run, Inc. has served more than 1.2 million girls since its inception in 1996.
