TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – On Wednesday, April 24th, Bryant Bank officials opened the doors to the fourth Tuscaloosa location on University Boulevard. The newly constructed downtown office, located at 1901 University Boulevard, serves as an extension of the bank’s existing services and will provide personal, business, and mortgage banking.
“For many years, our team has searched for a location that would allow us to better serve our customers in the downtown and UA area,” said Claude Edwards, Bryant Bank President. “Now that it has become a reality for us, the excitement brings the challenge and renewed commitment to make our banking presence even more meaningful as work to collaborate with and empower those we serve,” said Edwards.
The downtown office promoted Chris Billings to branch manager and has transitioned SVP commercial lender, Max Karrh, and VP commercial lender, David Kindred, to the downtown location. Additionally, Archie Weaver will represent mortgage services. The Bank’s business hours will operate the same as all Bryant Bank Tuscaloosa and Northport locations.
“We had the unique opportunity to hire our full downtown team well in advance so that they had adequate time to train and familiarize themselves with the Bryant Bank culture,” said Chris Billings. “Doing this also allowed us to build relationships with customers so that when we made the move, our customers would be comfortable and familiar with us. We are excited about that,” said Billings.
Bryant Bank will celebrate the grand opening of this new location on Tuesday, May 21st. A ribbon cutting will kick activities off at 5 pm with a Taste of Downtown Summer Soiree to follow. The celebration will include many food options from local restaurants, beverages, music, giveaways, and more. It is open to the public and will end at 8 pm.
At the celebration on May 21st, Bryant Bank will put its care into action once again with the launch of a special community initiative.
