HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Bryant Bank is excited to announce the addition of Kelly Pearson to our Huntsville team! Kelly joins us as Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer with 16 years of experience in the mortgage industry. And she’s no stranger to the Rocket City, having grown up in Huntsville!
We had a chance to ask Kelly some questions for our Bryant Bank Blog so everyone could get to know her a little better!
Q: What is one of your most memorable moments working in the mortgage industry?
A: I have had so many memorable moments in the mortgage industry over the years. One of the most memorable moments was the first time I was able to lower an interest rate and mortgage insurance fees from a credit rescore for a customer. It was a rewarding feeling to know I went the extra mile to help my customer save money. I felt like it was the gift that kept giving with each monthly payment.
Q: What is your favorite thing about being a mortgage lender?
A: My favorite part about being a mortgage lender is the customer service aspect. I am a big believer that if we all treat our customers the way we would like to be treated, we all win. This includes our internal and external customers.
Q: What are some fun facts about your family?
A: I am married to Collins Pearson who is local builder and the owner of Pearson Homes. I have 2 daughters, Haley (19) and Savannah (20) who are in college at UNA and Auburn University. I also have a step-daughter, Allison (24) who is a real estate agent and two step-sons, Jackson (21) and Harrison (19) who are in college at Auburn University.
Q: Where did you grow up, go to school, and what are some of your hobbies?
A: I grew up in Huntsville, attended Auburn University for 2 years and received my Bachelors of Business Administration from Faulkner University. I began working in the mortgage industry in 1994 when my parents owned a mortgage company in Huntsville. After my parents sold their mortgage company in 1996, I worked for Boeing as a Financial Analyst. In 1998, I took time off from working to stay home with my daughters until they reached school age. At that time, I re-entered the mortgage industry.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: I enjoy going to movies, concerts, traveling and social activities including hosting parties and helping organize events. I am also a fan of warm weather destinations and being on the water whether it is on the lake or at sea.
Q: What do you love most about the Huntsville community?
A: As a native of Huntsville, it has been interesting to witness the growth and constant changes to the Huntsville community. The Huntsville area has become such a diverse community. The intelligence, diversity, economy and growth of the community are all attributes that have been a benefit to Huntsville and seem to be a draw for businesses and newcomers. I am excited to watch the Huntsville/Madison County area continue to grow as well as the opportunities and improvements that result from it.
