ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – It’s been awhile since we’ve had a mortgage lender located in the Orange Beach and Foley communities, but Lynn Ferrie is excited to serve the area and to become a part of the Bryant Bank family.

Q: How many years have you been in the mortgage banking industry?
A: I have a total of 34 years of experience in mortgage banking with 30 years of experience in mortgage lending and 20+ years in leadership and management.
Q: Tell us a little about your background.
A: Over the years, I have had several roles from being an independent owner of a mortgage company that was licensed in four states to owning a title company, and then overseeing the entire mortgage department for a lending institution. My heart will always lie on the side of originating mortgages and helping customers obtain the American dream of home ownership.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a mortgage lender?
A: Assisting a first-time homebuyer is by far the most rewarding aspect of being in the mortgage business. I can still remember the first FHA loan that I did and how emotional the buyers were at closing as they thought that they would never be able to own a home. Therefore, signing the papers was a very special moment for them.
Q: How long have you been around the Orange Beach and Baldwin County communities?
A: I have been a Baldwin County resident for the last four years. I have lived in several areas of Florida and southeast Georgia, but I enjoy living in Baldwin County the most. The beaches are great, there is always a fun community function, and always a great concert to attend.
Q: What is the best advice that you like to give to potential home buyers?
A: Listen to your loan officer! There are many more checks and balances that occur today in mortgage lending than occurred in the past. Here is some advice to consider during the home buying experience that will lead to a smoother process:
1. Do not apply for any new credit.
2. Do not make any credit card purchases.
3. Do not deposit funds into your bank account other than your paycheck.
Q: What are you most excited about in your new role at Bryant Bank?
A: The team members at Bryant Bank truly care about their customers and make every interaction personable and memorable.
Q: What are some of your favorite hobbies or things you enjoy doing during your free time?
A: Golf has always been my go-to hobby. Besides golf, I enjoy spending time boating and will eventually tackle fishing in the local rivers. My son and I enjoy going target shooting as well.
